Goodbyes and Greetings
Travel, particularly solo travel, is full of hellos and goodbyes. We all drift from town to town on our own path, discovering, experiencing, and just being. And along the way, we make connections with people who would otherwise be strangers to us.
Sometimes, the interactions are fleeting, as much as a quick conversation before one person leaves for their next destination. And sometimes they last a lot longer… enough for some joint adventures, or even a lifetime.
We can never predict when we will have a chance encounter and cross paths with someone who we just “click” with. Just as the sadness of departing from one friend is setting in, another connection can surprise us and start a new friendship that takes us on a different journey again. Such is the relationships formed and lost while travelling.
So, it is just part of the deal, these goodbyes and greetings. And it is what makes travel so spectacularly memorable.
